From Green Islands to Blue Oceans — Leading the Maldives into a Sustainable Future

SDM Ventures Pvt Ltd is a Maldivian company built on a foundation of environmental responsibility and innovation. Our story began in 2019, when Saddam Ali and Abdulla Ali co-founded SDM Farm, a pioneering initiative to propagate native Maldivian plants and restore island greenery.

What started as a small nursery has grown into a nationwide sustainability movement — producing over one million plants, supplying agricultural produce across atolls, and inspiring reforestation programs. By 2024, the success of SDM Farm led to the formation of SDM Ventures Pvt Ltd, expanding operations to include mariculture and eco-tourism.

Today, SDM Ventures connects land and sea — transforming communities through sustainable farming, ocean innovation, and environmental education.
